The CHARLOTTE PIPE D1212-10 is a PVC DWV reducer bushing designed to transition between a 12-inch hub and a 10-inch spigot in drain, waste, and vent piping systems. This fitting allows plumbers to step down pipe diameter within a DWV run without cutting in an additional section of pipe. PVC construction keeps the fitting lightweight and resistant to common drain-line chemicals. Licensed plumbers install this type of reducer bushing during new construction and remodel work where fixture drain lines of differing sizes must be joined to a common stack or branch line.
This reducer bushing is suited for residential and light commercial DWV applications where a 12-inch to 10-inch reduction is required along a horizontal branch, vertical stack, or building drain. It is compatible with standard Schedule 40 PVC DWV pipe and fittings conforming to ASTM D2665 and is joined using solvent cement following manufacturer instructions. Typical installations include main building drains, large-diameter stacks, and high-volume commercial fixture drain connections.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for residential and commercial PVC DWV piping systems requiring a 12-inch to 10-inch bushing reduction.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off water supply and ensure the drain system is depressurized and dry before beginning work. Clean and prime both the hub and spigot surfaces before applying solvent cement, and allow adequate cure time before restoring flow. Do not use this fitting for pressure or potable water supply applications.
