The CHARLOTTE PIPE CTS120050600 is a 1/2-inch by 10-foot FlowGuard Gold CPVC pipe designed for hot and cold potable water distribution in residential and light commercial pressure systems. Made from a higher-impact, higher-density CPVC resin, this pipe delivers increased toughness across a wide temperature range. It carries a long-term stress rupture rating of 100 psi at 180 degrees F and 400 psi at 73 degrees F, making it well-suited for high-temperature water supply lines. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this product.
This CPVC pipe is used in residential and light commercial hot and cold water distribution systems where plastic pressure pipe is code-accepted. Typical applications include domestic water supply runs inside walls, ceilings, and mechanical rooms. The 1/2-inch diameter suits branch lines serving fixtures such as lavatories, sinks, and showers. It conforms to ASTM D2846, which is the standard specification for CPVC plastic hot and cold water distribution systems.
Designed for use in CPVC hot and cold water distribution pressure systems conforming to ASTM D2846. Must be joined using only CPVC solvent cement specifically approved for FlowGuard Gold CPVC pipe and fittings.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before cutting or joining pipe. Use only a CPVC-rated solvent cement approved for FlowGuard Gold systems — do not substitute PVC cement or other adhesives. Allow adequate cure time per the cement manufacturer's instructions before restoring system pressure.
