The Charlotte Pipe Foundry CTS 12005 0500HC is a 1/2-inch CTS CPVC water pipe designed for residential and light commercial hot and cold potable water distribution systems. Each stick measures 1/2 inch nominal diameter with a 5/8-inch outside diameter and comes in a 5-foot plain-end, solid-wall configuration. The pipe meets ASTM D2846 dimensional and pressure standards and carries NSF listing for use in drinking water systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this pipe with compatible CPVC solvent-cement fittings as part of pressure distribution systems behind walls, in mechanical rooms, and under fixtures.
This pipe is suited for new construction and retrofit plumbing in residential homes, apartments, and light commercial buildings wherever CTS-dimensioned CPVC is specified. The plain-end design accepts standard CTS CPVC socket fittings joined with CPVC-rated solvent cement. Its ASTM D2846 compliance makes it an accepted material under most residential plumbing codes for hot and cold water service lines. It is commonly installed in straight runs between shutoffs, tees, and fixture supply connections. This product is sold in a package quantity of 50 pieces.

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and applicable IPC or UPC provisions for CPVC piping systems. Shut off and depressurize the water supply before cutting into any existing line. Use a ratchet cutter or fine-tooth saw to make square cuts, and deburr all cut ends before applying CPVC-rated primer and solvent cement. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer instructions before pressurizing the system.
