It features a hub x hub x hub configuration, allowing a branch connection off a main drain line. The fitting is molded from ABS plastic in black and is rated for non-pressure DWV applications only. Low chemical resistance makes it suitable for typical household and light-commercial waste streams but not for aggressive industrial solvents. Licensed plumbers and drain-waste-vent installers are the primary users of this fitting in rough-in work.

This sanitary tee is used wherever a branch takeoff is needed on a horizontal or vertical drain run in residential or light-commercial plumbing.
