The CHARLOTTE PIPE FOUNDRY CO. ABS 00324 0600HA is a 1-1/2 inch ABS DWV hub x hub elbow designed to make a 22-1/2 degree directional change in a non-pressure drain, waste, and vent piping system. Molded from black ABS material, this fitting connects two hub-end pipe segments and is intended strictly for gravity-flow drainage applications. It is a standard component in residential and light commercial DWV rough-in work, installed by licensed plumbers during new construction or remodel. The fitting ships in a package quantity of 50 units, making it practical for multi-fixture rough-ins or larger projects requiring consistent offsets throughout a waste line layout.
This elbow is used wherever a shallow-angle directional change is needed in a drain or vent run — particularly in horizontal waste lines where a gradual offset is required rather than a sharper 45 or 90 degree turn. The 22-1/2 degree sweep helps maintain adequate slope and flow velocity in drain lines. Typical applications include under-slab drain routing, in-wall vent offsets, and horizontal branch drain alignment in residential single-family and multi-family construction as well as light commercial plumbing installations.
Designed as an OEM-style DWV fitting for use with 1-1/2 inch ABS drain, waste, and vent piping systems in non-pressure applications. Compatible with standard ABS DWV pipe joined using ABS solvent cement per applicable plumbing code.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code or locally adopted equivalent. Shut off water supply and ensure the drain line is clear and dry before cutting into an existing system. Use ABS solvent cement rated for ABS-to-ABS joints and allow full cure time before restoring flow. This fitting is not rated for pressure service and must not be used in supply or pressurized piping applications.
