The CHARLOTTE PIPE 61194203980 is a 4-inch Schedule 80 PVC plain end pipe supplied in 20-foot lengths. Schedule 80 PVC is distinguished by its thicker wall construction compared to Schedule 40, making it suitable for higher-pressure applications in industrial, commercial, and heavy-duty residential plumbing systems. The plain end configuration allows it to be cut to length and joined using solvent-cement socket fittings or threaded adapters. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this pipe in both above-ground and below-grade pressure piping systems where chemical resistance and pressure ratings are a priority.
This pipe is used in pressure piping, irrigation, industrial process lines, conduit applications, and chemical handling systems where PVC's corrosion resistance is required. The 4-inch nominal diameter and 20-foot length make it a standard stock item for commercial plumbing rough-ins, municipal infrastructure work, and industrial plant piping. Its plain end design gives installers flexibility in connection method and field fabrication.
Designed for use with Schedule 80 PVC socket fittings, threaded fittings, and compatible solvent-cement systems rated for Schedule 80 PVC pressure pipe per ASTM D 1785.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line completely before cutting into any existing system. Use a fine-tooth saw or PVC pipe cutter to achieve a clean, square cut, then deburr and chamfer the end before applying primer and solvent cement. Do not exceed the pressure and temperature ratings for Schedule 80 PVC listed by the manufacturer for the specific installation conditions.
