The CHARLOTTE PIPE 3722 is a 3-inch nominal Schedule 30 PVC hub-end coupling designed for sewer and storm drainage piping systems. This fitting connects two sections of same-diameter pipe using a hub end style that accepts standard pipe into each socket end. Made from white PVC, it carries a temperature rating of 140 degrees F and is produced domestically. The coupling is a standard choice for drain, waste, and vent work where Schedule 30 wall thickness meets the application requirements. Licensed plumbers and drainage contractors routinely specify this fitting for below-grade and above-grade sewer laterals and storm drainage runs.
This coupling is suited for residential and commercial sewer and storm drainage applications. It is used where PVC pipe must be joined without a threaded connection, relying instead on solvent-cement bonding at the hub sockets. At 3 inches nominal with an overall length of approximately 3.22 inches, it fits standard 3-inch PVC pipe runs in gravity-flow drain and storm systems. It is not rated for pressure service or potable water supply lines.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation coupling for Schedule 30 PVC sewer and storm drainage piping systems using 3-inch nominal pipe.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers following local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Before joining, both pipe ends and hub sockets must be cleaned, primed, and coated with the appropriate PVC solvent cement per the cement manufacturer's instructions. Allow full cure time before pressurizing or exposing the joint to flow. Do not use this fitting in pressure supply systems or with pipe materials other than PVC.
