The CHARLOTTE PIPE 10237 is a 2-piece assembled combination wye and 1/8 bend reducing fitting manufactured from Schedule 40 PVC. It provides a hub end connection in a 12 x 12 x 4 inch nominal configuration, allowing a 4-inch branch line to tie into a 12-inch mainline run with a gradual directional change built into the fitting body. Rated to 150 psi and suitable for service up to 73 degrees F, this fitting is designed for gravity-flow drainage systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting during rough-in on underground or above-ground drainage runs.
This fitting is intended for sewer and storm drainage applications in residential and commercial construction. The reducing configuration makes it well suited for connecting smaller branch lines — such as a 4-inch toilet or floor drain lateral — into a larger 12-inch trunk line without requiring a separate elbow fitting. The assembled 2-piece construction simplifies installation where space or access limits manipulation of individual components. The white PVC finish and SCH 40 schedule rating are consistent with standard DWV and storm drain piping systems.
Designed for use in sewer and storm drainage piping systems requiring a 12-inch mainline with a 4-inch reducing branch connection. Compatible with Schedule 40 PVC hub-end pipe and fittings joined by solvent cement in DWV and storm drain configurations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code and applicable local amendments. Shut off flow and verify the line is depressurized before cutting into an existing system. Solvent-cement all hub connections using a PVC primer and cement rated for the pipe schedule and service type. Allow full cure time before restoring flow, and verify slope and support spacing meet code requirements for the pipe diameter.
