The CHARLOTTE PIPE 10060B is a Schedule 80 PVC pressure pipe supplied in a 20-foot plain-end stick, sized at 6 inches nominal diameter. With a wall thickness of 0.432 inches and a pressure rating of 220 psi, this pipe is built for demanding industrial and commercial fluid-handling systems where standard Schedule 40 wall thickness is insufficient. Rated to 140 degrees F, it handles a broad range of liquid transfer applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this pipe in systems where pressure integrity and long service life are non-negotiable requirements.
Schedule 80 PVC pipe at 6-inch nominal size is commonly specified for industrial process piping, commercial chilled water systems, irrigation mains, chemical transfer lines, and municipal water infrastructure projects. The plain-end configuration accepts solvent-cement socket fittings or mechanical couplings. Its thick wall construction provides added crush resistance and pressure capacity compared to Schedule 40, making it suitable for above-ground and below-grade installations subject to elevated working pressures.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation pipe for 6-inch Schedule 80 PVC pressure piping systems using standard solvent-cement socket fittings and mechanical couplings rated for Schedule 80 pipe.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable IPC and local plumbing codes. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before cutting into any existing line. Use a fine-tooth saw or plastic pipe cutter to achieve a square cut, and deburr all cut ends before solvent-cementing. Follow the solvent-cement and primer manufacturer's cure time requirements before pressurizing the system.
