The CGW 59804 is a ceramic fiber abrasive disc designed for aggressive material removal on steel and stainless steel. Measuring 4-1/2 inches in diameter with a 7/8-inch arbor hole, it runs on standard angle grinders and high-power grinding machines. The disc uses a sharp ceramic grain with an advanced bonding system engineered for fast cut rates and extended disc life. At 80 grit, it delivers a balance of stock removal speed and surface finish suitable for weld blending, surface preparation, and deburring tasks common in fabrication and maintenance work. Sold in boxes of 25 discs.
This disc is suited for metal fabrication shops, structural steel work, and maintenance applications where both cutting speed and disc longevity matter. The ceramic grain performs well on carbon steel and stainless steel, making it a practical choice for shops that work across multiple metal types. Its fast cutting rate reduces the number of disc changes per job, which lowers labor time on production grinding tasks. Maximum performance is achieved on high-power angle grinders and bench grinders with sufficient RPM and torque.
Designed for use on standard 4-1/2-inch angle grinders and high-power grinding machines accepting a 7/8-inch arbor. Suitable for carbon steel and stainless steel applications.
Installation and disc changes must be performed with the grinder unplugged or the power source locked out. Verify that the grinder spindle speed rating meets or exceeds the maximum RPM printed on the disc before mounting. Use the correct backing pad for fiber discs and inspect the disc for cracks or damage before each use. Abrasive disc work on stainless steel should use discs kept free of carbon steel contamination to prevent corrosion.
