The CGW 35624 is a Type 27 depressed center grinding wheel designed for heavy-duty material removal on steel, cast iron, and stainless steel. Built with Zirconia Aluminum Oxide (ZA24T) grain, the wheel cuts faster and lasts longer than standard aluminum oxide grain, making it a practical choice for fabricators, ironworkers, and welders who put high-cycle demands on their consumables. The T-grade bond supports fast cutting while extending wheel life. Each box contains 25 wheels, keeping job-site stock at a working level without frequent reorders.
This wheel is suited for use on angle grinders in both residential fabrication shops and commercial or industrial settings. The depressed center profile allows flush grinding against flat stock and weld beads. Recommended applications include grinding steel, cast iron, and stainless steel surfaces. The contaminant-free design keeps iron, sulfur, and chlorine content at or below 0.1 percent, which is critical when working on stainless steel where contamination leads to rust and corrosion at the grind zone.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use grinding wheel for standard angle grinders accepting Type 27 depressed center wheels with a 1/4 inch thickness specification.
Grinding wheels must be installed and operated by trained personnel following ANSI B7.1 safety standards. Always inspect the wheel for cracks or damage before mounting and confirm the grinder RPM rating meets or exceeds the wheel's maximum operating speed. Mount the wheel securely using the correct flanges and guard before powering the tool. Never operate an angle grinder without the manufacturer-installed guard in place.
