The CERRO FLOW PRODUCTS LLC 1089 is a Type L hard copper tube sized at 1-1/4 inch inner diameter and 10 feet in length. Type L copper is a mid-wall-thickness designation widely used in plumbing and HVAC hydronic systems where pressure requirements exceed what Type M allows. The hard temper means this tube holds its shape during handling and installation and is cut with standard copper tube cutters or a hacksaw. It is joined by soldering, brazing, or press-fit fittings as the application demands. Licensed plumbers and HVAC mechanics are the primary installers of this product.
Type L hard copper tube in this 1-1/4 inch diameter is suited for domestic water supply lines, hydronic heating mains, chilled water piping, and commercial plumbing distribution systems. The 10-foot stick length is a standard supply-house cut that fits most rough-in layouts without field cutting waste. It performs in both above-ground and underground installations when local codes and burial depth requirements are met. This tube is sold individually but packaged in quantities of 5 per package from the supplier.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-construction copper tube for residential and commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, and HVAC chilled water piping systems requiring Type L hard copper in 1-1/4 inch diameter.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC mechanic in accordance with the International Plumbing Code or applicable local code. Shut off and depressurize the water or fluid system fully before cutting into any existing line. Use a proper tube cutter and deburring tool to ensure clean, square ends before soldering or brazing; flux residue should be flushed from the system after joints are complete. Press-fit connections require a manufacturer-approved pressing tool and must not be pressed on tube ends that are out-of-round.
