Product Description

The CERRO FLOW PRODUCTS 1082 is a 1-inch nominal, Type M hard-temper copper tube drawn from C12200 copper and supplied in 20-foot straight lengths. Conforming to ASTM B88, this light-wall tube carries an outside diameter of 1.125 inches, an inside diameter of 1.055 inches, and a wall thickness of 0.035 inches. It is lead-free and certified to NSF/ANSI 61, making it suitable for domestic potable water service as well as below-grade facility water lines. Licensed plumbers and HVAC-R technicians install this product in residential, commercial, and industrial piping systems.

Type M hard copper tubing in this nominal size is commonly used for general plumbing and heating supply lines, drainage, waste, and vent (DWV) runs, and other light-pressure applications. The hard temper allows for straight runs between fittings without additional support at close intervals, and the 20-foot length reduces the number of joints required on longer runs. Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before cutting or joining tubing. Use a sharp tube cutter to ensure a clean, square cut, and ream the cut end before soldering or pressing to remove any burr that could restrict flow or compromise the joint. Type M hard copper is not recommended for medical gas or high-pressure steam service.
