The CENTURY DRILL TOOL CO INC 75401 is a cylinder-style rotary rasp designed for rasping and filing wood using a standard drill. The cutting head measures 5/8 inches in diameter by 1-1/8 inches in length and is manufactured from special alloy steel that has been hardened and tempered for durability and extended service life. The 1/4-inch shank is compatible with all standard drill chucks. Precision-cut edges are engineered to resist clogging and loading during use, maintaining consistent material removal throughout the task.
This rotary rasp is suited for woodworking applications where shaping, contouring, or smoothing wood surfaces is required. It is used in residential and light commercial settings by carpenters, finish tradespeople, and skilled DIYers. The cylindrical shape is particularly effective for working inside curved cuts, enlarging holes, and smoothing routed profiles. It mounts directly in any drill accepting a 1/4-inch shank, requiring no adapter.
The 1/4-inch shank fits all standard drill chucks, making this rasp compatible with corded and cordless drills across brands and drive configurations.
Installation is performed by inserting the 1/4-inch shank into a standard drill chuck and tightening securely before operation. Confirm the chuck is fully locked before running the drill. Operate at appropriate drill speeds for the wood species and application. Eye protection should be worn during use, as rotary rasps produce wood chips and debris.
