This makes it well suited for thin-wall extractions where a tapered extractor would crack or deform the workpiece. It handles bolt and screw sizes from 1/2 inch to 9/16 inch, and removes 1/4-inch pipe. A 5/16-inch left-hand cobalt drill bit is the recommended pilot drill for this extractor size.
