The CENTAUR 70045 is a standard single angle collet designed for TG/PG 100 toolholding systems used in precision machining applications. With a collet size of 0.7813 inches and a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, this collet delivers the concentricity required for accurate material removal in milling and drilling operations. The overall length is 2.375 inches with a maximum body diameter of 1.38 inches. Machinists and tool-room technicians install this collet into compatible TG/PG 100 collet chucks on CNC and manual machine tools where repeatable workholding accuracy is essential.
This collet is suited for use in production and job-shop environments where TG/PG 100 collet systems are the standard toolholding method. It accepts round shank tooling at the 25/32-inch nominal bore size. Typical applications include end mill holding, drill holding, and reamer holding on vertical machining centers, knee mills, and similar equipment. Its standard single angle design is compatible with the full range of TG/PG 100 collet chucks and nuts that conform to this toolholding series.
Designed for use with TG/PG 100 series collet chucks and collet nuts. Accepts round shank cutting tools and workholding stock at the 0.7813-inch nominal bore diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Before changing collets, power down the machine spindle completely and confirm the spindle has stopped rotating. Insert the collet into a clean, dry TG/PG 100 collet chuck bore and secure with the appropriate collet nut torqued per the chuck manufacturer's specifications. Inspect the collet bore and chuck taper for chips or contamination before assembly, as debris will directly affect TIR performance.
