The CENTAUR 70032 is a standard single angle collet in the TG/PG 100 series, designed to hold round workpieces or cutting tools at a consistent, precise grip during machining operations. The collet features a 0.5781-inch bore size (37/64 inch) and a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, making it suitable for applications where concentricity and repeatability are critical. With an overall diameter of 1.38 inches and an overall length of 2.38 inches, it fits the TG/PG 100 toolholder standard. Machinists and tool-room technicians install this collet in compatible toolholders on CNC machining centers, mills, and lathes to secure tooling with minimal runout.
The CENTAUR 70032 is suited for use in production and job-shop machining environments where TG/PG 100 series toolholders are in service. It accommodates a 0.5781-inch diameter tool shank or workpiece and is appropriate for milling, drilling, reaming, and similar metal-cutting operations that demand tight runout tolerances. It is sold individually and is appropriate for both replacement and new setup applications.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new-install collet for TG/PG 100 series toolholders requiring a 0.5781-inch bore collet.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the toolholder and spindle are fully de-energized and the machine is locked out before changing collets. Clean the collet bore and toolholder taper thoroughly before seating to prevent contamination-induced runout. Use the appropriate collet nut and wrench specified for the TG/PG 100 series — do not over-tighten or impact-drive the collet nut.
