The CENTAUR 50022 is a standard single angle collet designed for use in TG75 and PG75 collet systems. It holds a workpiece or cutting tool with a clamping diameter of 0.4219 inches (27/64 inch fractional equivalent) and delivers a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, providing tight concentricity for precision machining operations. The collet measures 1.84 inches in overall length with a maximum body diameter of 1.06 inches. Machinists and toolroom technicians install this collet into compatible TG75 or PG75 toolholders on mills, lathes, and CNC machining centers where repeatable tool holding accuracy is required.
This collet is suited for use in production and toolroom environments where TG75 or PG75 system toolholders are already in service. The 0.4219 inch bore accommodates round shanks of that specific diameter, including many standard end mills, drills, and round-shank cutting tools. It is appropriate for both manual and CNC machine tool setups in light to medium-duty cutting applications where low TIR is a priority.
Designed for use with TG75 and PG75 series collet system toolholders. Accepts round tool shanks with a diameter of 0.4219 inches.
This collet is installed and removed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician using the appropriate TG75 or PG75 collet nut and spanner wrench. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing collets. Inspect the collet bore and toolholder taper for chips or damage before seating the collet, as contamination directly affects TIR and tool life. Do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's recommended clamping torque range for the collet nut.
