The CENTAUR 50011 is a standard single angle collet designed for use in TG/PG 75 collet systems. It accepts a 0.25 inch tool shank and delivers a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, providing consistent concentricity for precision machining operations. The collet measures 1.84 inches in overall length with a maximum body diameter of 1.06 inches, fitting directly into TG/PG 75 toolholders. This type of collet is typically installed by machinists and toolroom technicians working with milling machines, CNC machining centers, and manual mills requiring accurate tool retention.
This collet is suited for use in production and toolroom environments where TG/PG 75 collet chucks are the standard toolholding system. It accepts quarter-inch round shank cutting tools including end mills, drills, and reamers. The standard single angle configuration makes it a direct-fit component for shops running TG 75 or PG 75 compatible toolholding equipment in both light and moderate-duty cutting applications.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or supplemental collet for TG/PG 75 series collet chucks accepting 0.25 inch shank tooling.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the toolholder removed from the spindle before inserting or removing the collet. Clean the collet bore and chuck taper surfaces before seating to prevent runout caused by contamination. Use the appropriate TG 75 collet nut and spanner wrench specified for the toolholder; do not overtighten by impact methods.
