The CENTAUR 50005 is a standard single angle collet designed for use in TG75 and PG75 collet chucks and toolholding systems. It accepts a 0.1563-inch (5/32 inch) round shank tool and delivers a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, providing the precision required for milling, drilling, and tapping applications where tool concentricity directly affects finish and tool life. With a body diameter of 1.06 inches and an overall length of 1.84 inches, the 50005 is a compact, direct-fit replacement or spare collet for standard TG75 and PG75 toolholding setups. Machinists and tool crib technicians working on CNC mills, knee mills, and drill presses are the primary users of this collet series.
This collet is suited for production and job-shop machining environments where TG75 or PG75 collet chucks are in service. It holds 5/32-inch shank cutting tools including end mills, drills, reamers, and taps. The TG and PG collet series are common in both light production CNC machining and manual machine tool operations. This size is frequently used in applications involving smaller-diameter tooling where a secure, concentric grip is critical to part tolerance and surface quality.
Designed for use with TG75 and PG75 collet chuck systems accepting 0.1563-inch (5/32 inch) shank tooling.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tool crib technician familiar with TG and PG collet chuck systems. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing collets. Inspect the collet bore and chuck taper for chips, burrs, or contamination before seating the collet, as debris will increase runout and damage seating surfaces. Follow the chuck manufacturer's torque recommendations for the clamping nut to avoid collet distortion.
