The CENTAUR 50003 is a standard single angle collet designed for use in TG75 and PG75 collet systems. It accepts a 0.125 inch (1/8 inch) tool shank and delivers a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, making it suitable for precision machining applications where concentricity and repeatability matter. The collet measures 1.84 inches in overall length with a maximum body diameter of 1.06 inches. It is installed and used by machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators working with TG or PG series toolholding systems.
This collet is used in toolholding setups that call for TG75 or PG75 series collets, commonly found in milling machines, machining centers, and manual spindle equipment in both job shop and production environments. The standard single angle design is suited for general-purpose tool clamping where consistent grip and low runout are required across repeated setups.
Designed for use with TG75 and PG75 series collet toolholders requiring a 0.125 inch bore collet.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with TG and PG series collet systems. Always ensure the spindle or toolholder is fully de-energized and at a complete stop before removing or installing collets. The collet bore and toolholder taper should be clean and free of chips or debris before seating. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque guidelines when tightening the collet nut to avoid damage to the collet or spindle.
