The CEJN 10 550 2454 is a safety-style pneumatic hose coupler designed for compressed-air systems in industrial and commercial environments. Built with a brass and steel construction and a zinc-plated finish, this threaded coupler provides a secure, leak-resistant connection rated to 232 psi maximum working pressure. The 1/2-inch body diameter accepts a 3/8-inch inside diameter hose, and the 3/8-inch male NPT thread allows direct installation into standard ports and manifolds. Licensed HVAC technicians, industrial mechanics, and pneumatic system installers will encounter this fitting in air-tool supply lines, compressor outlets, and similar high-cycle pneumatic circuits.
This coupler is suited for both light industrial and heavy shop environments where a safety-locking connection is required to prevent accidental disconnection under pressure. The industrial interchange configuration makes it broadly compatible with standard pneumatic quick-connect systems. Rated for temperatures from -4 degrees F to 212 degrees F, it handles typical ambient and process conditions in most North American shop and plant environments. The threaded connection type makes installation straightforward on existing NPT-threaded ports without adapters in most cases.
Designed as an industrial interchange safety coupler compatible with standard pneumatic quick-connect systems using 3/8-inch MNPT threaded connections and 1/2-inch body diameter fittings.
Installation should be performed by a qualified mechanic or pneumatic systems technician. Depressurize and bleed down the air line completely before removing any existing coupler or fitting. Apply thread sealant tape to the MNPT threads per standard practice, taking care not to leave loose tape ends that could enter the air circuit. Confirm that the mating plug or nipple is also rated to at least 232 psi before returning the system to service.
