The CEJN 10 310 2402 is a Series 310 pneumatic safety coupler designed for industrial compressed-air systems. It features a 1/4-inch FNPT threaded connection and a 1/4-inch body diameter, built from brass and steel with a zinc finish for corrosion resistance. Rated to 230 psi maximum working pressure, it handles operating temperatures from -4 degrees F to 212 degrees F, making it suitable for year-round shop and field use. The Industrial Interchange configuration ensures compatibility with standard shop-air tool circuits. Installation is handled by licensed pneumatic or mechanical tradespeople.
This safety coupler is suited for industrial and commercial pneumatic tool setups where threaded, quick-disconnect connections are required on air lines, compressors, or pneumatic distribution manifolds. The FNPT thread type allows straightforward connection to standard pipe-threaded ports. The safety coupler design requires a deliberate two-step release action before air line disconnection, reducing the risk of unintended pressurized hose release in busy shop environments. Typical applications include air compressor outlets, drop lines, and tool-side quick connects in manufacturing, automotive service, and general trade settings.
Designed as an Industrial Interchange-type safety coupler compatible with standard 1/4-inch FNPT pneumatic fittings and Industrial Interchange-style plugs commonly used in shop-air and compressed-air tool systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified mechanic or pipefitter following applicable shop-air system procedures. Depressurize and lock out the air supply before connecting or disconnecting any pneumatic fitting. Apply thread sealant tape to the FNPT threads per standard practice, and do not overtighten. Verify that system working pressure does not exceed the 230 psi rating of this coupler before returning the line to service.
