The CDI 151SP is a preset torque screwdriver designed for applications requiring repeatable, low-range torque control between 3 and 15 inch-pounds. The tool features a 1/4 inch female hex drive and a tri-lobular handle for a secure grip during use. Overall length is 5.3 inches, keeping it compact for work in tight spaces. The aluminum body keeps weight low at 0.45 pounds. Torque accuracy is rated at plus or minus 6 percent, meeting ASME B107.300-2010 standards. A hex adjustment key is included. Licensed trades such as HVAC technicians, electricians, and instrumentation technicians use this tool when tightening fasteners to manufacturer-specified torque values on sensitive components.
This screwdriver is suited for low-torque fastener work on control boards, terminal screws, equipment panels, and other assemblies where over-tightening can damage components. The preset design eliminates the need for the technician to monitor a dial or gauge during the fastening sequence. Once the set torque is reached, the tool signals completion. It is appropriate for both residential and light commercial service work where precise, repeatable torque application is required on small fasteners with a 1/4 inch hex tip.
Designed for use with standard 1/4 inch female hex drive bits. Suitable for low-torque fastener applications on control components, terminal blocks, and equipment panels in HVAC, electrical, and related trade service work.
This tool is used by licensed technicians servicing electrical and mechanical equipment. Always de-energize and lock out equipment before performing fastener work on live panels or control boards in accordance with applicable NFPA 70E and OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Do not use this screwdriver to apply torque values outside its rated range of 3 to 15 inch-pounds, as accuracy cannot be guaranteed outside that range. The preset torque setting should be verified against the equipment manufacturer's fastener specification before use.
