The CD Valve C&DV-CD2070 is a core depressor fitting used in refrigeration and HVAC service work to access refrigerant circuits through Schrader-type valve cores. With a 1/4-inch nominal size and a male flare connection, this tool allows technicians to depress the valve core and maintain an open flow path during system service without fully removing the core. It is a standard service fitting used when connecting manifold gauges, charging equipment, or recovery machines to a system that requires continuous flow access.
This core depressor is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC and refrigeration applications. Technicians use it when working on split systems, package units, and refrigeration equipment where Schrader valve access is required. The male flare connection type makes it compatible with standard flare fittings commonly found on service ports and manifold hose assemblies used in day-to-day field service.
Designed for use with standard 1/4-inch male flare service port connections found on HVAC and refrigeration equipment with Schrader-type valve cores.
This fitting is installed by licensed HVAC and refrigeration technicians during system service. Always recover or isolate refrigerant as required by EPA Section 608 regulations before opening any refrigerant circuit. Ensure the flare connection is hand-tightened and then snugged with a wrench to prevent leaks — do not overtighten. Inspect the core depressor pin for debris before use to avoid contaminating the refrigerant circuit.
