The CD VALVE cd3600/6 is a universal line service access valve designed for refrigerant system service and charging applications. Each valve features a step-down body that eliminates the need for a swaging tool, accepting multiple tubing sizes in a single fitting. The stepped design accommodates 1/8 inch I.D., 3/16 inch, 1/4 inch, and 5/16 inch tubing, while the opposite end terminates in 1/4 inch male flare threads to accept a standard charging hose. Every valve ships with a CD2250 heavy-duty brass cap equipped with a neoprene seal and integrated core wrench. This 6-pack format suits contractors and service technicians stocking a service van or shop inventory.
The cd3600/6 is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC refrigerant line service work. The universal step-down body makes it practical across a range of tubing sizes commonly found in split systems, mini-splits, and refrigeration equipment. It is installed by licensed HVAC/R technicians during system commissioning, leak diagnosis, or refrigerant recovery and recharge procedures. The included CD2250 brass wrench cap with neoprene seal helps maintain a leak-free closure at the access port between service intervals.
Designed as an OEM-style universal service access valve for use on residential and light commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems equipped with 1/4 inch male flare service ports.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC/R technician in accordance with applicable local codes and EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling regulations. Recover system refrigerant and relieve system pressure before installing or replacing any service access valve. Confirm tubing size before selecting the appropriate step on the valve body, and verify that all connections are leak-tested after installation. The CD2250 brass cap should be tightened securely with the integrated core wrench to maintain a proper seal between service calls.
