The CASH-ACME PEI0420 is a John Guest push-fit coupling designed for use with 0.5-inch CTS (Copper Tube Size) pipe. This fitting creates a secure, tool-free connection between two runs of compatible tubing without soldering, crimping, or clamps. It is used in residential and light commercial plumbing and hydronic systems where a fast, reliable coupling is needed. Licensed plumbers and experienced pipe fitters install this type of fitting during new construction, retrofit work, and repair service where quick disconnects or inline joins are required.
This push-fit coupling is suited for applications involving potable water supply lines, distribution manifolds, and similar plumbing runs using 0.5-inch CTS tubing. It fits into tight spaces where conventional sweat or compression fittings are impractical. The John Guest push-fit design is widely used in residential water treatment systems, RO (reverse osmosis) installations, and ice maker supply lines, as well as standard domestic plumbing repairs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install push-fit coupling for plumbing systems using 0.5-inch CTS pipe or tubing.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipe fitter. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before inserting tubing into the fitting. Ensure tubing ends are cut cleanly and squarely with a proper tube cutter and deburred before insertion to achieve a leak-free seal. Follow all applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines for push-fit fittings used on potable water systems.
