The CARRIER ZPS21LXE-TFD-800 is a two-step scroll compressor rated at 20,200 BTU/h, designed for use with R410A refrigerant in commercial HVAC systems. It operates on 460/60/3 and 380-420/50/3 power configurations, making it suitable for both North American and international three-phase applications. The compressor ships with Polyol Ester oil and includes an internal motor protector for overload and thermal protection. Suction connection is a 3/4-inch stub and discharge is a 1/2-inch stub. Licensed HVAC technicians and refrigeration mechanics handle installation and service of this unit.
This compressor is factory new OEM equipment intended for commercial air conditioning and heat pump systems requiring a two-step capacity-modulated scroll compressor. The unit ships with included accessories: mounting spacer assembly (527-0044-15), power cable assembly (529-0138-01), and molded plug kit (529-0370-00). Optional accessories available separately include crankcase heaters in 120V, 240V, and 480V configurations and a thermostat kit for the 1/2-inch discharge line. It is a direct OEM replacement for Daikin McQuay applications referencing stock number 300073928.

Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or refrigeration mechanic holding the appropriate EPA Section 608 certification for handling R410A refrigerant. Disconnect and lockout all electrical power and recover system refrigerant per EPA guidelines before removing the existing compressor. Verify oil type compatibility and connection sizes before installation. Crankcase heaters are sold separately and should be energized for the manufacturer-recommended period before initial startup in cold ambient conditions.
