The CARRIER KAACH1201AAA is an electric resistance crank case heater that mounts to the base of the compressor to keep the lubricant warm during off cycles. It improves compressor lubrication on restart and minimizes the chance of liquid slugging. This heater warms the compressor crankcase during the off cycle and is required on all low ambient applications where a MotorMaster is used.
