Carrier HC32GQ223 208-230V1PH 1/12HP 800RPM Motor Replacement HC32GR223

So far this motor is working great. Thank you VoomiSupply for working with me. Here are the specifications I found compared to the original:

Original Motor: New Motor

Resistance check: BR to Y – 172 ohms BR to Y – 157 ohms

BR to BK – 52 ohms BR to BK – 46 ohms

Y to BK – 120.8 Y to BK – 110.8

Draw Amps: .72 (9 Oct 25) .61 (19 Oct 25)

RPMS Rated: 800 Rated: 800, Running at 810

I don't know what internal motor connections goes to each wire. For my A/C unit, Brown to Cap; Black to control board; Yellow to contactor.

Replaced capacitor although old capacitor worked but the 5uf reading was below minimum and about 8 years old. Replaced with same JARD model *****.

Specs Reading: 5uf = +/- 6% = 5.3 or 4.7; 40uf = +/- 6% = 42.4 or 37.6

Current reading on new Cap: 4.967 and 39.96

Current reading on old Cap: 4.45 and 40.6

New motor has a smooth even sound, no vibrations or wobble. The hardest part, in my case, was getting the old motor out. The wires were twisted and not along side other harness. Installing the new motor was a breeze. Take care replacing the mounting nuts so you don't strip the threads. Old motor appeared to run okay but had ‘bearing noise’ when idling down. Nothing heard on new motor for this issue. Given the differences in ohm values the old motor was probably slowly dying.
