The CARRHILL FW-500 is a foam pipe wrap insulation supplied in a 6-inch-wide by 200-foot roll. It is designed to insulate and protect pipes from heat loss, condensation, and minor physical damage in residential and light commercial applications. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters use this product to wrap copper, PVC, CPVC, and similar pipe runs where a flexible, self-adhering or wrap-style foam insulation is required. The generous 200-foot roll length reduces the number of splices on long straight runs and makes it practical for larger jobs or stocking a service vehicle.
This foam pipe wrap is suited for use on domestic hot and cold water supply lines, chilled water lines, refrigerant suction lines, and drain lines where condensation control or heat retention is the goal. It is commonly applied in mechanical rooms, crawlspaces, basements, and exposed overhead runs in both new construction and retrofit service work. The 6-inch width accommodates a range of pipe diameters depending on wrap overlap.
Designed as a general-purpose foam pipe wrap insulation for use on copper, PVC, CPVC, and comparable pipe materials in residential and light commercial plumbing and HVAC applications.
Foam pipe wrap is typically installed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians but is also within the scope of knowledgeable maintenance personnel. Shut off and drain or depressurize the pipe system before working on any pipe that requires repair or additional fittings prior to insulating. Wrap with consistent overlap to maintain uniform insulation thickness along the run. Secure ends and seams with compatible pipe insulation tape to prevent unraveling over time.
