The CARPENTER PATERSON 1ae-212 is a rod-mount band hanger engineered to support non-insulated, stationary pipe lines from above. Fabricated from carbon steel with an electrogalvanized finish, this hanger is rated for a 970-pound load capacity and a maximum temperature of 140 degrees F. The lower nut adjusts the pipe line to the proper elevation, while the top nut prevents loosening caused by vibration. Both nuts must be supplied separately and tightened securely to ensure proper hanger performance. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors typically install this fitting in commercial and industrial piping systems where dependable overhead pipe support is required.
This band hanger is designed for use with 2.5-inch pipe on non-insulated, stationary lines. The rod-mount design accepts a 0.5-inch hanger rod and allows field adjustment of pipe elevation after installation. Its electrogalvanized carbon steel construction provides corrosion resistance suitable for typical mechanical room and above-ceiling environments. This product meets Federal Specification A-A-1192A and MSS SP-69, making it appropriate for projects requiring compliance with those standards.
Designed to support 2.5-inch non-insulated, stationary pipe lines in overhead rod-mount applications. Suitable for use wherever Federal Specification A-A-1192A and MSS SP-69 compliant hangers are specified. Lower and top nuts are not included and must be sourced separately.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified mechanical contractor. Shut down and depressurize the pipe system before installing or adjusting hangers. Both the lower nut and top nut are field-supplied and must be tightened securely to ensure proper hanger function and vibration resistance. Follow applicable IPC and IFGC requirements for hanger spacing and rod sizing on the specific pipe system being supported.
