The CARPENTER PATERSON 126ct-4 is a 2-piece, 2-hole extension riser clamp designed to support uninsulated vertical piping in stationary installations. Finished in copper plating over carbon steel, it carries a rated load capacity of 390 pounds and fits 4-inch pipe. The clamp spans an overall length of 13.125 inches and secures with 2 bolts. It is not intended for rod-supported applications and is not suitable for systems where pipe movement will occur. Plumbers and pipefitters install this clamp in commercial, industrial, and institutional mechanical systems where vertical tubing requires a rigid, fixed support point.
The 126ct-4 is used across a wide range of vertical piping installations in commercial buildings, hospitals, pharmaceutical facilities, petrochemical plants, and industrial process piping. It is suited for uninsulated copper or similarly sized vertical tubing in systems governed by ASME B31.1 and MSS-SP-58 Type 8 standards. The 2-hole configuration allows secure attachment to structure or unistrut-style framing members. This clamp ships in packaging quantities of 15 per box, making it practical for larger mechanical contractor purchases.
Designed for use with 4-inch uninsulated vertical tubing in stationary piping systems. Suitable for commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and hospital applications where pipe movement will not occur. Not designed for rod-supported configurations.
Licensed plumbers and pipefitters typically install riser clamps as part of vertical pipe support systems governed by ASME B31.1 and local mechanical codes. Shut off and depressurize the piping system before installing or repositioning any pipe support hardware. Verify that the structural attachment point is rated to handle the combined pipe, fluid, and clamp load before tightening fasteners. Do not use this clamp in applications where thermal expansion or pipe movement is expected.
