The CARPENTER PATERSON 126ct-212 is a 2-piece, 2-hole extension riser clamp designed for the vertical support of un-insulated piping in stationary installations. Finished in copper plating over a carbon steel body, it fits 2.5-inch pipe and carries a load rating of 390 pounds. This clamp is not designed to be suspended from threaded rod — it is a riser-style support that bears load at the pipe penetration point through a floor or structural member. Plumbers and pipefitters working in commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and hospital settings install these clamps where vertical tubing requires rigid, fixed support without anticipated movement.
The 126ct-212 is suited for commercial and industrial piping systems where vertical copper or compatible tubing runs through floor assemblies and must be anchored at each level. Its 2-hole bolt pattern and extension design allow secure attachment to structural decking or framing. The clamp is packaged 25 units per box, making it practical for multi-floor or multi-drop installations where consistent riser support is required across a project.
Designed for the support of un-insulated vertical tubing where no movement will occur. Suitable for commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and hospital piping applications conforming to ASME B31.1 and MSS-SP-58 Type 8 requirements.
This clamp is installed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters and is not rated for threaded-rod suspension — do not use in hanger rod applications. Shut off the relevant piping system and depressurize before securing clamps during new construction or retrofit work. Follow applicable mechanical and plumbing codes, including ASME B31.1 for power piping, for proper support spacing and structural attachment. Ensure the mounting surface provides adequate bearing capacity for the stated load rating.
