The CARPENTER PATERSON 100-6 is a rod-mount clevis hanger designed to support non-insulated, stationary pipe lines from above. Built from carbon steel with a black finish, this hanger carries a 1,940-pound load rating and is rated for temperatures up to 650 degrees F. It is engineered for 6-inch pipe and provides approximately 1 inch to 1.5 inches of vertical adjustment after the pipe is set in place. The lower nut adjusts the pipe line to the correct elevation, while the top nut locks the assembly against loosening from vibration. Both nuts are field-supplied and must be tightened securely for proper performance. Licensed piping mechanics and industrial pipefitters install this type of hanger in mechanical and process piping systems.
This clevis hanger is suited for commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and hospital applications where stationary, non-insulated pipe lines require secure overhead support. The rod-mount configuration accepts a 3/4-inch diameter hanger rod. With a centerline distance of 7 inches and a rod take-out dimension of 5.875 inches, it fits standard pipe support layouts used in heavy mechanical and process piping installations.
Designed for use with 6-inch non-insulated, stationary pipe lines in commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and hospital piping systems. Suitable for overhead rod-mount pipe support installations conforming to ASME B31.1, AA-1192A Type 1, ANSI/MSS SP-58/SP-69 Type 1, BSPSS-BS3974, UL, WW-H-171E Type 1, and FM standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or mechanical contractor in accordance with applicable mechanical and piping codes. Shut down and depressurize the pipe line before installing or adjusting any hanger hardware. Hanger rod, lower nut, and top nut are not included and must be sourced separately. Tighten the top nut securely after setting the pipe elevation to prevent loosening from system vibration.
