The CARPENTER PATERSON 100-2 is a rod-mount clevis hanger designed to support non-insulated, stationary pipe lines from above. Fabricated from carbon steel with a black finish, this hanger is rated for loads up to 730 pounds and temperatures up to 650 degrees F. It accommodates a 2-inch pipe size and features a 3/8-inch diameter mounting rod connection. Once the pipe is in place, the lower nut allows approximately 1 inch to 1-1/2 inches of vertical adjustment to set the pipe line to the proper elevation. A top nut must be tightened securely to prevent loosening from vibration. Both nuts are not furnished with the hanger. Licensed mechanical contractors and pipefitters install this hanger in commercial, industrial, and institutional piping systems.

The 100-2 clevis hanger is suited for commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and hospital piping installations. It is intended for non-insulated, stationary lines where vertical adjustment after pipe placement is required. Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or mechanical contractor in accordance with applicable mechanical codes including ASME B31.1. Shut down and depressurize the piping system before installing or adjusting hangers. The lower nut, which is not included, must be used to set the pipe to the correct elevation, and the top nut must be tightened securely to prevent vibration-related loosening. Do not use this hanger on insulated lines or on moving pipe configurations.
