The CARMEX 22IR6ACMEP25C is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for internal Acme thread cutting at 6 threads per inch. It carries a P25C manufacturer grade with an M2 material grade of C5 carbide, making it suitable for a wide range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and high-temp alloys. The insert features a PVD-applied TiN coating for improved wear resistance and a 29-degree included angle specific to the Acme thread form. With a 0.5000-inch inscribed circle and a thickness of 0.1870 inches, this insert fits standard 22IR-style toolholders. Installation is performed by licensed machinists and CNC operators in production or job-shop turning applications.
