The CARMEX 22ER5ACMEP25C is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for external Acme thread cutting on CNC lathes and threading centers. It produces right-hand Acme threads at 5 threads per inch (TPI) with a 29-degree included angle, conforming to standard Acme thread geometry. The insert features a PVD-applied TiN coating under the P25C manufacturer grade, which corresponds to a C5 material grade carbide substrate. With a 1/2-inch inscribed circle (IC) and a thickness of 0.187 inches, this insert seats in compatible 22ER-style toolholders. It is installed and changed by machinists and CNC operators in production and maintenance shop environments.

This insert is suited for threading operations across a broad range of workpiece materials. The P25C grade and universal primary workpiece material classification make it applicable to steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys.
