The CARMEX 16IR8ACMEBXC is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for right-hand internal Acme thread cutting at 8 threads per inch (TPI). With a 29-degree included angle and a PVD-applied TiN coating, this insert delivers consistent thread form and extended tool life across a wide range of workpiece materials. The 3/8-inch (0.3750-inch) inscribed circle and 0.1460-inch thickness conform to the 16IR insert style standard. It is sized and configured for use on CNC lathes and threading machines operated by machinists and tooling technicians in production and job-shop environments.

This insert is suited for producing internal Acme threads in materials classified as universal, covering ferrous and non-ferrous metals, stainless steels, cast irons, and high-temperature alloys.
