The CARMEX 16IR16UNMXC is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for internal UN thread cutting at 16 threads per inch (TPI). Built to a 60-degree included angle, this right-hand insert features a 3/8-inch (0.3750 inch) inscribed circle and a thickness of 0.1460 inches. The TiN coating is applied via a PVD process, improving surface hardness and wear resistance. This insert is intended for use by machinists and toolroom technicians performing precision internal threading operations on CNC lathes and turning centers.
