The CARMEX 16ERG60BMA is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for external partial profile threading operations. It cuts a 60-degree included angle thread profile and covers a range of 14 to 8 threads per inch, with a metric pitch equivalence of 1.75 to 3.00 mm. The insert features a PVD-applied TiAlN coating over a submicron carbide substrate, providing wear resistance and thermal stability across a wide range of workpiece materials. Right-hand cutting geometry makes it suitable for standard external thread turning on CNC lathes and turning centers. Installation and replacement are handled by machinists and CNC turning specialists.

This insert is rated for universal workpiece material compatibility, covering material groups including cast iron, hardened materials, stainless steel, non-ferrous, steel, and heat-resistant superalloys.
