The CARMEX 16ERA60BMA is a laydown-style external threading insert designed for precision thread turning on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured from submicron solid carbide and finished with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating, this insert handles a 60-degree partial profile thread form across a range of 48 to 16 TPI (0.50 to 1.50 mm pitch). The 3/8 inch inscribed circle and 0.146 inch thickness conform to the 16ER insert style standard. It is suited for machinists and toolroom operators producing right-hand external threads in a wide variety of workpiece materials including steel, stainless, cast iron, aluminum, and high-temperature alloys.
