The CARMEX 1/4INRHA60MXC is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for right-hand internal threading operations. Manufactured to an 11 IR insert style with a 1/4-inch inscribed circle and 0.127-inch thickness, this insert cuts partial profile 60-degree threads across a range of 48 to 16 TPI (0.50 to 1.50 mm pitch). A PVD-applied TiN coating improves surface hardness and extends tool life across a broad range of workpiece materials. This insert is installed by machinists and CNC lathe operators running internal threading cycles on production or repair work.

This threading insert is suited for internal threading on a universal range of workpiece materials, including ferrous, non-ferrous, stainless, heat-resistant alloys, and non-metallic materials corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S.
