The CARLISLE 1gnb is a mechanical insulation fastener designed to attach acoustical duct liner to the interior of sheet metal HVAC ductwork. Known as a Gripnail, this fastener features a grip length of 0.525 inches and is recommended for use with 1-inch insulation at 1.5 lb density. The point, shank, and head are heat treated and tempered to a Rockwell C-50 hardness. A zinc plating of 0.0002 to 0.0003 inches with a final chromate dip exceeds current SMACNA standards for corrosion resistance. Licensed HVAC fabricators and sheet metal workers install these fasteners during ductwork manufacturing.
