The CANTEX 5234068 is a 3-inch Schedule 40 PVC conduit elbow with a 22.5-degree bend angle, designed for use in UL-listed electrical conduit systems. This fitting changes the direction of an electrical conduit run by 22.5 degrees, allowing installers to navigate around structural obstacles or transition between conduit paths where a sweeping, gradual offset is required. Manufactured from Schedule 40 PVC, it offers solid resistance to corrosion and is suitable for both above-ground and direct-burial conduit installations. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers of this type of fitting.
This elbow is used in commercial, industrial, and residential electrical conduit systems where rigid PVC conduit is specified. The 22.5-degree angle is a common fitting in larger conduit runs where gentle directional changes reduce wire-pull friction and meet bend-radius requirements for conductor protection. It is appropriate for use in interior dry locations, damp locations, and direct-burial applications where PVC conduit is permitted by the applicable electrical code.

Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and applicable local codes. Power down the circuit and de-energize the conduit system before beginning any conduit work. Solvent-cement the fitting to compatible Schedule 40 PVC conduit using a PVC primer and cement rated for electrical conduit applications. Do not use this fitting with conduit sizes or schedules other than those it is rated for.
