The CANTEX 5233829 is a Schedule 40 PVC 90-degree elbow fitting designed for use in UL-listed electrical conduit systems. This fitting redirects conduit runs at a right angle, allowing installers to navigate corners, walls, and structural obstacles while keeping conductors fully enclosed and protected. Built from rigid Schedule 40 PVC, it provides solid dielectric protection and resists corrosion in both indoor and outdoor applications. The 2.5-inch trade size accommodates correspondingly sized Schedule 40 PVC conduit and is a standard component in commercial and residential electrical raceways installed by licensed electricians.
This elbow is suited for use in electrical conduit installations where a 90-degree change in direction is required. It is commonly used in commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and residential service runs where PVC conduit is the specified raceway material. The fitting is appropriate for use in dry, damp, and wet locations as typical of Schedule 40 PVC conduit systems, and is well-suited for direct burial and concrete encasement applications where the conduit system meets local code requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with 2.5-inch Schedule 40 PVC electrical conduit systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the affected raceway before working on the conduit system. Use PVC conduit cement and primer rated for electrical conduit fittings to make solvent-welded joints. Do not use this fitting with Schedule 80 conduit without verifying dimensional compatibility.
