The CAMCO MFG 59073 is a 20-inch pigtail propane hose connector designed to link an RV or camper regulator inlet to a portable LP tank. Rated at 200,000 BTU/h, it handles the output demands of typical recreational propane systems. The connector features an ACME nut on the tank end and a 1/4-inch inverted male flare on the appliance end. It incorporates thermal and excess flow protection, shutting off gas flow automatically if the hose is damaged or flow exceeds a safe threshold. Licensed plumbers and RV service technicians install this fitting as part of a properly regulated propane supply line.
This connector is intended for recreational vehicle and camper propane systems where a 1/4-inch inverted flare inlet regulator must be connected to a 20 lb or 30 lb LP cylinder. The 20-inch flexible hose length provides working clearance between the tank and regulator. The excess flow protection feature makes it suitable for campground and off-grid installations where physical hose damage is a risk. It is not intended for permanent hard-piped installations or commercial propane systems.
Designed for use with 1/4-inch inverted flare inlet regulators on RVs and campers connected to 20 lb or 30 lb LP tanks equipped with standard ACME-threaded cylinder valves.
Installation should be performed by a qualified RV technician or licensed plumber familiar with LP gas systems and applicable codes. Shut off the LP cylinder valve completely before disconnecting or connecting any fittings. Inspect the hose and fittings for damage before each use and test all connections for leaks with an approved leak-detection solution after installation. Do not use pipe thread sealant on ACME or inverted flare connections, as these joints seal on the fitting seats.
