The CAMCO MFG 40058 is a brass adjustable water pressure regulator with an integrated pressure gauge, designed for use in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. It reduces and maintains downstream water pressure to protect fixtures, appliances, and piping from pressure surges or supply-side over-pressure conditions. The all-brass construction provides corrosion resistance and long service life in potable water applications. The built-in gauge allows the installer to read line pressure at a glance and confirm the regulator is set correctly before completing the installation.
This regulator is suited for applications where incoming supply pressure must be stepped down to a safe operating range for the downstream plumbing system. Typical install scenarios include point-of-entry residential service lines, RV and mobile home water supply connections, and irrigation system feeds. The adjustable design allows the technician to dial in the target downstream pressure to match the requirements of the connected fixtures or equipment. It is installed by licensed plumbers and qualified service technicians.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation pressure regulator for residential and light commercial potable water plumbing systems where an adjustable brass pressure-reducing valve with gauge is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable International Plumbing Code (IPC) requirements for pressure-reducing valves. Shut off the main water supply and relieve system pressure before removing any existing regulator or fitting. Use appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape on threaded connections and verify there are no leaks before returning the system to service. Do not over-torque the brass fittings, as this may damage the threads or body.
