Product Description

The CAMCO MFG 2953 is a screw-in ripple fold back water heater element rated at 4500 watts and 240 volts. Constructed from highest-grade nickel chromium Incoloy, this ultra-low watt density element operates at 50 watts per square inch, which significantly reduces surface temperature and extends service life compared to standard elements. At 14.5 inches in height, it is engineered for residential and light commercial tank-style water heaters and is installed by licensed plumbers or qualified service technicians. The included gasket simplifies replacement and helps ensure a leak-free seal at installation.

This element is suited for tank-style electric water heaters in residential and light commercial applications where water quality is poor, mineral content is high, or lime and sand buildup is a recurring problem. The ripple fold back design increases surface area, allowing the element to heat effectively even within scale deposits that would cause standard elements to fail prematurely.
