The CAMCO MFG 10473 is a 3/4-inch temperature and pressure relief valve designed for residential water heater installations. It provides fully automatic protection against dangerous over-temperature and over-pressure conditions, triggering discharge before system limits are exceeded. Rated for water heaters up to 105,000 BTU/h, the valve includes a 4-inch thermostat probe. The male inlet measures 3/4 inches and the female outlet measures 3/4 inches. Temperature relief activates at 210 degrees F. This is a code-critical safety component installed by licensed plumbers on both tank-style storage water heaters and in-line hot water systems.

The 10473 is suited for residential water heater applications requiring automatic TP protection. It can be installed directly in the tank tapping or in the hot water outlet line using the included extension thermostat with test lever. For proper function, the temperature sensing element must be immersed in the water within the top 6 inches of the tank. This makes it applicable to standard vertical tank installations where top-tapping access is available.

Installation Notes
